Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts, under the Finance Department, is responsible for the financial accounting of the State Government and the establishment and control of the Rajasthan Subordinate Accounts Service cadre. Under this process, the following main tasks are being performed by the department:—

Technical and financial control over all Treasuries/Sub-Treasuries of the State.
Operation of the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) established with the objective of making the working methodology of Budget and Treasury offices transparent.
Providing suggestions/proposals to the State Government for amendments in the General Financial and Accounts Rules (GF&AR) and Rajasthan Treasury Rules.
Compiling monthly figures of income and expenditure of various departments received from Treasuries to provide the latest information on the Ways and Means position to the Finance Department.
Assisting the Accountant General, Rajasthan, in the work of sending vouchers related to defence pension payments by the State Treasuries to the Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension), Allahabad, and obtaining their reimbursement.
Maintenance of accounts of the Rajasthan Advance Risk Fund through Treasuries.
Maintenance of accounts of long-term loans given to state employees through Treasuries.
Establishment and control of the cadre of Assistant Accounts Officer Grade-I/II and Junior Accountant of the Rajasthan Subordinate Accounts Service.
Maintenance and upkeep of Vitt Bhawan.
Execution of pending works of the Small Savings and Lottery Department.
